You'll want to make your reservations for hotel stays and any & all tours that you need to make advance reservations for well in advance, at least 8-10 monthsJune & July are very popular months in Nashville and the fact that we'll be there at the 4th of July, if you don't book early, there will not be rooms available.  If you wait to make your reservations until a month to two before or when you arrive, you may not be able to get the tickets to what you want to do and the hotel may have had release your room to the public for re-sell & sold it. When she got to the bottom, there were three of those little green army men and she asked him why they were in there, he said, “On TV they say, 'The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup!'"

Family Dinners

To allow for more opportunity for us to visit and get to know each other, we are planning to eat some of our meals together.  There's no assigned seating.  You can eat with whom you want, chit chat before, during & after, discuss the activities that you did that day, catch up with those you haven't seen in a while, and meet those of the family that you might not already know.

We really enjoyed getting a chance to do this at the first reunion and thought it was a lot of fun at Bob & Janice's Big Butt Kicking BBQ this past summer in 2009.  So we wanted to be able to offer this informal sharing time again & be able to share with each other for some of the meals as a family.

Therefore, we are having Sunday’s lunch and all the dinners catered in for this purpose.  They will be served in the meeting room, at the hotel. Check out the adult & kids menu's below. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the great food we'll be enjoying!  We need a minimum of 20 adults & 10 kids signed up for meals.  We know that once you see the amazing meals that are planned,  you'll be sure to join us around the table for Family Meals!  Especially since we're starting our Olympic games for trophies, awards and metals over dinners.  No one will be going home empty handed that participated in the award winning family games.

It is recommended that you purchase your meals at the time you make your room reservations to allows us to have a solid idea of how many will be participating. You will need to pay for your meals in advance NO LATER THEN 4 MONTHS IN ADVANCE of the reunion.

Meals not purchased by February 15, 2011 will not be counted in the final head count to the caterer.  Should you decide that you wish to eat with us as a family after the cut off date, the price will increase by $10 per person, in order to be included.  No additions to the head count are  possible after June 1, 2011.

Family Meals are purchased through   See the Donation Page & Reserve My Spot for instructions on how to do this.

You could purchase family meals for those hard to buy for family members for Christmas, birthdays, anniversary or other special occasions.  You also might be interested in the fact that you can purchase your families meals in installment payments.

We have a few volunteer “assistance needed type positions” open for the Vaca-Union that we are looking for volunteers to help handle.  If you would like to assist with any of these; you can sign up on the family website through the polls on the voting page.

1)                   We are looking for volunteers to assist in the overseeing of the Red, White & Blue Pool  Party on both Friday and Saturday night between 9:30-10pm.  We need one volunteer per night.

2)       We also need 1-2 volunteers per night to check in on the tweens, teens, and young adults during the Olympic games & Wii tournaments on Friday & Saturday night between 10pm & midnight/1am.  Remember to bring your Wii player and favorite game to share!

3)       We’re looking for 2 volunteers for both Friday and Saturday night from 9:30/10 pm to midnight/1am to baby sit. Not to sit on the babies just sit with the babies.  This will be for the youngun’s from 6 mos to 7 yrs as the older ones will be in the Olympic Games & Wii Tournaments.  Parents we are requesting, that if you to use the “baby sitters” that you donate $15-20 per child per night to the volunteers for their time and efforts while you’re taking part in the Nashville Nightlife Sightseeing Tours with your cousins and siblings.  If your youngun' will "freak out" being left with someone that they perhaps don't know, we suggest that you find an alternative solution, if you plan to attend the Nashville Nightlife tours.  We don't want to make children or the adults taking care of them uncomfortable.

4)       Finally we’re looking for a volunteer to give up their room for the Tweens, Teens & Young Adult Games & Wii Tournament for Friday night.  We have a room volunteered for Saturday night

Again, if you would like to volunteer your time or room for any of these assistance needed   positions for the Vaca-Union, you can sign up on the family website by using the poll located on voting page of the family  website.  Your assistance & participation are both needed & appreciated.

Join us on   We're trying to put different pic's on Facebook then is on the website so that there's more to see & check out.

A certain high school jock goes into the store and asks the clerk, "I'd like some Polish Sausage."
The clerk looks at him and says "Are you Polish?"
The jock says "Well, yes I am. If I had asked for Italian sausage would you ask me if I was Italian? Or if I had asked for German sausage, would you ask me if I was German? Or if I had asked for a taco would you ask if I was Mexican?"
The clerk says "Well, no."
The jock says "WELL, why do you ask me if I'm Polish just because I ask for Polish sausage?"
The clerk says "Because this is a hardware store."

Can't wait to see all of ya.   Ya'll come back now, hear!
